As we move into the first full week of this Lunar New Year, we look into a topic that is close to the heart of the church and our culture: authentic community. As we prepare for this week’s service, let us meditate on 1 John 3:17, “But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?”
