SPECTRUM IS a community of secondary school students, ranging from grades 6-12/ year 7-13 and from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Our volunteers are professionals, also from different walks of life, who help guide our youth to seek Gods’ purpose for our lives. Together, we learn about the Bible, why it’s still relevant today and how to follow Jesus’ example at school, with our friends, on the field/court or in the pool and at home. Like any family, we love to eat, talk and play whilst humbly growing into hope-filled, young leaders who respect each other, love God, love our neighbours (although they may not love us because sometimes we’re too loud!) and love this city we call home. Please join us!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
As Jesus said, we are to love one another. As a Spectrum community, we aim to show this love by ensuring the health and safety of our youth and their families remains the priority. Therefore, all Spectrum activities will be temporarily suspended until Tuesday 7th April. The exception to this is Confirmation Class with a maximum of 4 attendees including Grace.
We are also to love our neighbour. We love our city, the people and respect our government authorities and by being obedient to the measures and advice in place, we will do our bit by flattening the curve even more to ensure the welfare and prosperity of Hong Kong.
In the meantime, Grace will be in touch and communicate regularly with each of our youth and young adults.
We give thanks to God daily for the provisions we already have and trust in His sovereignty, wisdom and never failing love for us. We believe he is with us, step by step and day by day.
Onwards we go through Mighty March.
