PEACE Boxes – Last day to bring your packed box is Sunday 31st March.
Preparing boxes showing God’s love and provision and in practical ways to give to our less fortunate children, families and the elderly, over Easter. Our target last year was 100, and we packed 105. This year we’re aiming for 120! We’re already at 40.
Easter Serving – St Barnabas on Saturday 13th April from 3pm – 6pm.
We need 15 volunteers to help prepare and serve meals to the poorer families, elderly and the homeless community around Sheung Wan, Sai Ying Pun and the surrounding community. If you would like to contribute your gifts of running games, music, drama and being a listening ear, please get involved. Your community needs you!
Looking forward to journeying with you as we serve and celebrate with our community!
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
Jesus taught us to love our neighbours as ourselves, and the Outreach ministry serves as a channel to live out that command to those in need. Based on Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 25, the Outreach ministry provides not only financial assistance to selected organizations and charities in HK, China and disaster stricken areas around the world, but also encourages and organizes visits and programs for our church community to spend time and share the love of Christ with the beneficiaries of our funding.
Participating in an outreach visit is a great way to tenderize your heart and develop Christ-like compassion, realizing how fortunate most of us are relative to those we seek to serve and that it is indeed more blessed to give than to receive.
Have a look at our Outreach Partners below, or contact the office for more information or if you wish to connect with a member of the outreach team.
