Community Church seeks to provide a place for worship where we can experience Christ, and be changed more into His likeness. Key passages for our worship are Isaiah 6:1-8, in which the prophet describes experiencing God’s holiness, and then feels compassionate to help others in need saying, ‘Here am I, send me.’ John 3:23 is also important to our church where Jesus challenges us to worship ‘in spirit and truth’. For us, that means authentic worship or as C.S. Lewis would say, ‘bringing to the Lord what is in us, not what ought to be in us.’

A third key verse for us in worship is Romans 12:1-2 where we are called to be ‘transformed by the renewing of our mind’. When we truly worship, we are changed, and are then empowered to bring change into our daily worlds. Having experienced the living God as Isaiah, we are moved to serve the world that Jesus gave his life for. Worship is a central part of our community life, and we welcome many to be involved in our music, ushering, children’s ministries, etc.

Below are some of the blessings and activities we are thankful for, with quotes from some of our ministry leaders.
